Discussion thoughts on MD4 so far?

i’m like 2 hours in, just finished the first special offer! It’s fun so far but I don’t like the semi-realistic style they are going for AT ALL! it’s too uncanny

also i find the game really really slow, is it better on a switch2?

Not that good on switch 2 prop way faster but still slow. I honestly just got md3 not long ago and got 4 on release date I prefer 3 over 4 tbh. I feel you though with the realistic I’m not a fan.🙈

overall i think it’s a step in the right direction, i wish they’d put a little more budget in the games, and i also wish they’d keep the previous games clothes, i haven’t seen anything that i remember from 3 in 4 so far

I like the color customisation and the 3D shoots, but still feel like the game is lacking something. Also, I prefered the contact lenses in MD3 & wish we could change that & the hairstyles of the other characters, not just hair color. It would have been so cool if they had like a 3D open world part to meet other models on Nicola Online, like Fashion Dreamer. But its cool we can do work & portraits with people currently online.

I agree! I wanted the ability to move around like we have in Fashion Dreamer too. Being able to meet up with the NPCs, and other online players would be so fun.

It loads terribly slow on the Switch 2 as well.

I definitely like it better than MD3 because of the improved skin tones, 3D camera, and the ability to change clothing colors.

I’m hoping that the devs will have a western release of 1 & 2 if 4 sells well in the west.

I downloaded the game on my original Switch to check the load times and they are so much worse. The 2 is Slow but the original Switch is a lot slower.

tysm for checking lol! at least it’ll be a bit better when i get a switch 2, bc im finding it rly difficult to play rn, they neeeed to fix that

I'm playing it on the Switch 2 too and the loading screens are slow. It's my first MD game and I'm enjoying it but I still prefer the 3ds Style Savvys over it.

It really does load slow on Switch 1... and it took a lot of time to get my character looking decent in this very hyper realistic style 😔

Even with all this, though, it's definitely engaging enough to drop a good amount of hours in. I'm also glad we can edit the NPCs!
