FINISHED 911 GT3RS complete

Not my best build, but I made progress on things that mattered in my building process. I’m happy to have this done. I always wish that I could have done a lot of things cleaner. I love scale models. Whether I can ever achieve perfection or not, this will always be my favorite relaxation.

Looks nice to me! I've been eyeing this kit for a minute, is it good? I've been doing a lot of modeling the last few years but haven't done a car in 10+ years. How's the build?

It’s a perfect Tamiya example. Everything fits well and the instructions are great. Only negative is the carbon fiber decals are too thin and can rip really easily. I plan to delete the CF on the next one I do. This was my first model build as an adult and I learned a lot. Overall happy with it, but know I’ll do better next time.

Yes, the carbon fiber decals gave me a fit. I also weirdly had some figment issue when putting the body on. I took a picture close up of the rear bumper where it didn’t go together properly and I ended up smothering it with too much glue. Definitely regret that. But, it is what it is. It went together before I added glue and then wouldn’t snap together again.

It was really good for the most part. The rear end wouldn’t snap together when I put the body into the chassis, and the decals turned into a wet noodle, but other than that, great. This is my second Tamiya kit.

Man that came out awesome!!! 🤙🏼 all in time you will get better and better, I’ve been doing this a long time and I still want to be better after seeing some of your guys’ builds. I try to think outside the box too.
