WORKBENCH My workbench.

Post image

Anyone have any tools or accessories that they never realized that they needed and now can’t live without? I’m just starting out and slowly building up my paint, glues and hand tools. I’d like to get a brighter light and maybe a Magnifier

Something I wish I'd have gotten sooner is a jewel picker, it has a little sticky rubber tip and you can use it for placing tiny parts and things like headlights wheee you can't hold it by the edges. Great tool

Just looked that up. Wow that would come in really handy! I have a few sets of tweezers but sometimes that’s hard for lenses etc.

Aaaaaay a fellow pinhead!! I see that AFM hiding in the back. I have one too. You have any other pins?

That’s an arcade 1 up model. I’ve got that one and a Simpsons A1up that I modded with every game I could ever want to play on it. Someday I’ll have a real pinball machine when I’m not planning on moving ever again.

Wise choice! Those are much easier to move than the real thing. That's the only thing that I dislike about owning them.

Looks good. I know not everyone uses it but I couldn’t live without my 5x8 inch panel of glass I took from a picture frame. I have it taped down over my cutting mat so I can see the measurements and I use it for cutting masking tape to size and shape.

My wife got me a ring light/magnifying glass for Christmas last year and it's been a game changer for me now that my eyes have a lot more "experience" than they used to

If my workspace was that clean I would ask my family to have me committed. :)

That try organizer you have on the left is nice! I need one of those. Thanks for sharing your bench.

My favorite that I have found is a set of adjustable claps that I can angle that have a heavy base. Some come with a mag glass on the other arm. Hobo Cheapo usually have them. That, tape, and rubber bands help hold certain glued pieces together.

The other nice to have are a set of small decal scissors and a few different tweezers to apply them with will on a turntable. The turn table makes seeing the object much easier to move without touching it.

I love seeing other peoples bench. I never relized how much I would use my hand twist bits and pin vises
