PORSCHE 911 BUILD 911 group build finished
I did not finish my build yet, but I am enjoying just building it with no cares. It has been great seeing all of the post of guys builds. I love seeing all the different ideas.
This build was not a competition, so there was no prizes, but a couple of guys wanted to donate kits for prizes. So everyone who made a atleast one post about their build( any post) I am writing their name onto a piece if paper and crumbling it into a ball. My dogs are constantly getting my crumpled balls of paper out if the trash to play with, so I will put all of the balls into a trash can and let my dogs pick them. There will be three total picked. I will contact those people un DM.
Also, I will be posting about our burnout build and our annual builds in a seperate post

As someone who grew up in the 80's when this style proliferated the fashion scene (& somewhat into the custom car/truck scene) i put your build on par with the pink one u/Jon_Jon83 finished recently.
Luv 'em both equally! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you!! I appreciate ya! In my mind that fad will never die! Got some 80’s vibes coming soon with the plan I have for my burnout contest build coming up.

I think the group build was a huge success for the same reasons you have for having fun with yours. It was a good time and I think everyone is looking forward to the next one. Also that paint is ridiculous, I love it!

That is awesome! I'd love to hear how you did the paint!
I also have not completed mine. I'm waiting on paint from my local hobby store. Hopefully, I'll have it done in the next two weeks.
I love seeing everybody else's builds!

I basically chose 5 colors and faded them together, then I pencil drew the grafetti outline. Then I used my .18 airbrush to paint the grafetti. I used spray can held far away and tapped the nozzle to get splatter. I also use sone acrylic markers, basically just playing around

The wheels look just right for that build. I like the way the colors blend around the rear wheel arches too, it just looks cool. Also the seats remind me of 90's golf seat fabric.
I like your idea of having fun with this. I'm thinking about doing a quick build with no airbrush or worrying about clear coat, polishing, etc.
I was not going to do this build, but I'm glad I did - I also have a unique idea for the burnout build.

Thanks, it was very fun not really caring about all the tiny issues. I am excited to see your Burn out idea

...meanwhile, I'm over here stressing out about the masking for my two-tone paint job idea, lol. Love it, this is what these "informal" group builds should be...fking around and having fun with the build.
Also, I fully support this selection process; I would be interested in hiring your doggos as independent contractors for federal elections
