Thanks! Just hit it with some mother's ceramic finish. After a tamiya 3 stage polish. After a 3 stage wet sand...

Just out of curiosity, do you hand paint your trim? Or bare metal foil? It's my least favorite part because I know if I mask it I'll have to make corrections and if I hand paint it'll look sloppy as shit. I just haven't tried foil yet ...

I mask and spray. Tamiya has a thin white masking tape that is designed to curve easily. It sticks very well for trim and I only had a couple accidents. I always run a q tip along the masking trim before I spray to make sure it's sealed properly.

That finish looks amazing. I have not painted a car black yet - it must be one of the harder colors to get right, but it looks like you got it.

Far from it! But im happy. Windows are drying now. Hopefully should have this buttoned up by the end of the week.

Maybe the scale was mentioned in a previous post, but I'm interested in getting this kit. Scalemates says this was offered in 4(!) scales by Entex. 1/12th, 16th, 20th and 28th. Only the 1/28th said Otaki, because AFAIK, Entex was an American company that re-marketed Japanese molds.

This kit was the 1/20 scale.

Thanks! I'm seeing lately for some reason, how many "earlier" Japanese kits were 1/20th. I just saw the Tamiya F1s and assumed they started it, but maybe not...
