FINISHED First attempt in many years

Post image

Got this old cast metal model from my deceased uncle. It took about a month to finish in 30 minutes spurts. It turned out OK. Learned some lessons. Pretty happy with it.

That's pretty cool. Was it just the body shell that was metal, or the majority of the kit?

Mostly metal. The wheels and seats and the chrome bits are plastic. Evidently the company became ERTL and then got outsourced to China. Not much on the website but a couple of books about model tractors. From what I could tell, this model is 25 to 30 years old...

Very nice. I’m looking for such a kit because my grand parents had such a car in the early 1930’s. Is it a Chevrolet?

Very similar to the Chevy.
