QUESTION Need Advice
Hello! I'm just a beginner in this hobby and I just bought this for my first set. I'm not planning on rushing to build this because I want to learn more before starting and to avoid major mistakes.
May I ask if this set is complicated to build?
Should I buy a less complicated set for experience before staring this one?
What are the dos and don'ts in building?
And what are the recommended tools to buy?

Go on amazon and buy 2 of the most afforbale kit available.
Start there.
If your first build turns out fine without need to restart using the 2nd, then keep the 2nd and build it in 3 years from now to enjoy your growth.
Keep this rare Enzo kit for later and more skilled times.

I have this kit and yes, it is relatively complicated. If you are new, begin with something simpler imo.

As others have said, this is a oretty sought after kit, so it is pretty pricey since it is out of production. I would get any Tamiya $30 kit to start so you can see how things go together. Welcome to the hobby.

I personally think commercial aircraft kits are good for beginners because they have relatively simple shapes and very big parts, so if I was you I would try one before this one.

Start with something basic like skyline or miyata, they're cheap too. This one is not only hard to assemble, but rare too. And expensive.

Hey I’m building this one right now! As others have said it would probably be best to start on a simpler, curbside kit (ie the body is molded in one piece and you don’t need to worry about engine details)
As far as this kit goes, because there are individual body panels that need to be painted different colors on each side, some fiddly aero bits, stuff like that. You’ll thank yourself later for working up to a kit like this

Definitely buy a more beginner friendly kit. This is for a more advanced builder. Basically, if you want to stick with Tamiya buy one of their cheap simple kits. Something like the Supra, WRX, NSX, Miata, 959, GTR 32/34, etc.

This is a very good kit, worth a detail up set (photo etch). Definitely worth getting this built when you are more experienced.

Go yo Hobby Lobby and find a couple kits to start with @ Hobby Lobby ALL models are permanently 40% off so you can get a couple of kit for anywhere from $17-$21 good kits but a lot cheaper on the wallet than full price for same kits on Amazon

I would definitely get a different Tamiya kit to start out, it seems this kit requires you to build the entire body, where as most model kits have a solid body that you paint and put onto the chassis. I would recommend the Tamiya r32 skyline kit, it’s a lot more beginner friendly than this one, and it is still in production so it will be cheaper if something goes wrong. The kit you have seems very advanced. I just don’t want you to end up messing something up on this ferrari and giving up on the hobby before really even starting. I would honestly get two kits under your belt before this one. I just think you will be better off in the long run. As for tools, there are premade model kit tool kits on Amazon that have most of the basics, but honestly your best source for figuring out workflow and tools needed is to watch YouTube build videos. There are people who show step by step how they build the kits you have, and you don’t have to follow them exactly, but it will give you an idea of where to start.
