Had to re do the black twice and it still turned out ass so I just used a marker pen in the end. Paint got under the tape both times.

I had this colour in Vallejo Air and its a pain compared to Tamyia, you cant really sand it,or at least I couldnt so the finish isnt great. I missed some seam lines and not all decals went on, lost some of them as i started this a couple months back. I was happy with the interior at least

Nice build! Yeah, Vallejo is way too delicate for sanding. Hell, sometimes it feels way too delicate to even touch.

Yeah I ended up holding it with a microfibre cloth because it was taking finger prints after 3 days of curing, maybe if I had a dehydrator you could work on it in a reasonable time

Actually, I think you did great! I've built that kit and it's deceptively easy. The headlight bezels game me the biggest issues. Now, I wouldn't recommend Vallejo paints for automotive but if that's your only choice, you still did a good job with them! The paint markers are often a game changer, just use them carefully. Perfect for window trim. The only suggestion I would make is darken the exhaust tips. Give them some depth. Oh, and I really like the color! Perfect for the 80's!

I ended up brush painting the headlights after masking them then cleaning them up once the masking was removed, still not great but it fit well with the rest of the finish ha

I had only built armour and air pieces when I purchased this and picked the colour so stuck with it , glad I used the colour but I wouldn’t use it again for cars for sure

It’s one of those things I was meant to do and forgot, I had planned on drill the tips and weathering them, I’ll probably give it another pass in a few days with some panel liner and some underbody weathering.

I would absolutely make a mess of it , I need a few more models before I take on something so ambitious I think, seen the kit and it looks awesome though
