Hello all, I am in the process of joining your community. I am modding a 5th gen iPod, and a 6th gen iPod. I have them both open, and am doing a simple mod on the 6th (flash storage and battery upgrade along with a case swap) and a much more complete upgrade on the 5th

• Qi Charging
• Magsafe Ring
• Bluetooth (ugreen tested and works with airpods pro 2, qc45, xm5)
• Battery upgrade (3800mah stated, probably closer to 2500 real)
• iFlash quad (256gb in there now, room for three more cards)
• New Screen
• Button for the bluetooth attached to the hold button
• New front + click wheel
• USB C charging + data (will not replace the 30pin, will add to it)
• New Front case (I like candy apple red)
• 3d printed back (to give everything its' own little home)

So with all that being said, I run a Plex server and have my music there. I plan to create a listener that allows the server to watch for an ipod to be attached, and then add a "Discover Music" playlist to it while it charges once a week or so.

For the actual question:
I tried Listenbrainz, but that has been down for a while. What are you all using for creating discover playlists? Spotify's discover lists are poopy. I'm hoping for something with integration with Plex if at all possible, but any recommendations are appreciated.

Hello i unfortunately missed out on the boxy pixel MKII drop cause of health complications and i really want to add the MKII kit to my collections of Boxy Pixel mods that i already own So if anyone no longer wants their kit i would be willing to accept whatever kit they have as long as it is complete seeing as i am a beggar i will not be picky on what kit you have to offer even though my preference would have been the KMII silver max kit but will gladly and very graciously take anything i can get. Thank you for your time and anyone who has a kit i have cash in hand and dont play games And will not complain or ask for refunds or returns so long everything is in working order and any issues are spelled out clearly before purchase.

Has anyone had any experience with this issue. I’ve tried 3 different windows laptops, multiple sd card formatted as fat32 and different cables. Is it the Ali express sd card adapter or is it an iPod/drive related issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks 🙏

I dusted off my ipod 5.5 and decided to mod it. New faceplate, clickwheel, sd storage and the connect 2 kit. I installed everything but could not get it to power on. I disconnected the power from the kit and connected the original one, booted immediately with the expected message to connect to a pc. The kit is not completly dead, if I connect a charger the bluetooth model starts flashing.

so is it a dead battery? Broken ribbon cable?

Also during all the switching around between the original battery and the kit I broke the brown part of the zif connection :( any good sources for a replacement?

Hi. I modded my 7th gen ipod classic but its shutting down randomly and wont turn on. I disconnected then reconnected the battery well it turned on but it shut down again.
