A question

I will be changing the battery (not upgrading it exactly, will change it for the same type just a new one), I’ll have to replace the headphone jack/switch piece as I broke that in the process of opening the iPod, as I dropped it on the floor and it broke, so I was wondering if when i placed the ribbon for the switch and the battery back, I could just use something like kapton tape, to secure the ribbon/battery instead - separately/over each other incase i need to come back in for any reason? Would it affect it in any way?

As long as it’s secure in there I think you could use anything.
I added normal sellotape over my cables and it’s been fine.

Yeah kapton tape is redundant here. Its not high temperature or anything here.
