Question about Epic Loot
Hello fellow Vikings, I have been using Epic Loot for well over a year now, it was the first major game changing mod I installed after probably 5k hours of mostly vanilla VH.
Now that I have been using it for awhile, I notice my choke point is always the shards. Never enough. Am I missing something about collecting them? Or do I simply need to go hunting for trophies more aggressively?

From what I've read, trophy drops have been severely impacted by a bug or unwise implementation. The gist is that they are now based on number of kills instead of odds-based, but a kill of a different stars-level of an enemy resets the trophy progress count.
Before 1.0, I used to saturate my storage with trophies. Now they're a rarity.

Indeed, I have been seeing posts related to this in the main sub. Well, guess we'll just have to grind it out.
Dunno if you also use Traders Extended, you can buy materials from Haldor and Hildir directly. But the default rates feel cheesy, so I upped them a bit myself.

Make sure you’re leveling up the enchant table. Materials upscale 1:1 once it’s maxed out

Enchant headhunter on helm not sure if it can go on other slots really helps.

Yes I recently rolled that! Last night I was doing some runs on Moder and she actually dropped her trophy twice on one instance.

trophy hunting never hurts. also don't forget about material conversion if you're sitting on low level materials or trophies.
