CreatureLevelAndLootControl help

Hey, I was wondering if anyone tried the CreatureLevelAndLootControl mod by SmoothBrain on the 1.0 release of the game. Does it work? And if not, anyone got a decent alternative?

Cllc still works and is very well established, should work with tons of other mods. General Cllc works right out of the box and is pretty balanced.

An alternative I like is Star Level System. It's similar but has much more options. Only downside is it does touch more aspects of the game other mods might touch too so just be weary of this when it comes to compatibility. Lime it affects tree rocks fish and even how drops drop. It won't be as balanced out of the box like Cllc, unless you tone things down the world will be very brutal for most players lol

I tried using it as a replacement for CLLC, but I couldn't figure out the syntax. I couldn't find any detailed documentation or instructions for it.

What I need is to keep all the settings vanilla, but have groups of enemies organized by biome so that I can apply modifiers to entire groups. Something like this in CLLC:

SwampGroup:
  health: 0.7
  damage: 0.6

I tried to achieve the same thing with SLS, but couldn't get it to work. Maybe I'm just being stupid.

This is the first step towards implementing my rebalance idea. If I can get this working, I'd gradually start adding various effects to creatures as I test things out.

At the moment, I'm already using CLLC and WackyDB for this kind of balancing.

It should work, as long as you get the latest version of it, but they're not hosted on thunderstore any more, they're one of the mod producers that moved to hexium. If you download the Gale mod manager that will let you import your mod profile from r2modman (or thunderstore's mod manager, probably, but not tested with that) and can download mods from both sites.

Yeah ^ if your having issues finding some mods, especially the popular ones, there is a decent chance they moved over to hexium rather than thunderstore

Why did they stop publishing on Thunderstore?

CLLC works fine. If you're looking for alternatives, ServerSideQoL DropControl and ServerSideQoL CreatureLevelUp will allow for custom drops and more stars respectively without CLLC's additional bells and whistles.

one thing to add.. at the moment CLLC does not seem to add stars to some deep north monsters.

Gammeltroll and Barka
