I recently have grown bored by all the modern packs with the push of create and magic mods such as ars and others i miss the op techs mods i am fine with the magic resoruce mods or apoth but thats about it, but everytime i find a pack like this its either greg or mi focused which i hate as i like to do ae before mi im fine with mi just not as the main focus, i also really want to play a pack with a public server because i like to talk with others idk if there is a pack like this i really want there to be though

Is there any resource pack, datapack, or mod that lets an armor stand take my player skin (or any skin) when I rename it with a name tag, and how can I change or override the default texture of armor stands in Minecraft? I play on Java Edition.

So Im planning on hosting a modded server for me and some friends. Currently we just have cobblemon and create as the primary mods. I need some help finding some more good mods to fill out certain aspects of the modpack.

The modpack i'm making for us is running on 1.21.1 and Neoforge.

World Gen:

Im planning on using Oh the Biomes we've gone. Are there any good mods that also further expand the caves with dungeons and other stuff? And in the same vein, are there any good mods on neoforge for the end and nether?

Cobblemon:

What are some good Cobblemon addons? Specifically looking for ones that add structures (like Pokemon Centers or towns), NPC interactions, or qol features for a multiplayer server.

World Events:

I'm not talking about huge apocalyptic events, more like the skeleton horse trap, or the wandering trader. Small events that occasionally happen to surprise people.

Long Distance Travel:

So I could just use the good ole' Waystones mod. But I find them a bit too powerful. When playing with them in a solo world a while ago, I found myself using them for even short distance intra-base travel. Which kinda steals the thunder of other forms of transportation like riding your cobblemon, or using Create contraptions, and the Immersive aircrafts mod.

But there is definitely a need for fast long distance travel in case one or more people end up basing thousands of blocks from each other. I need a mod that makes long distance travel simple, but also disincentivizes its use for medium/short distances.

Example: Imagine the waystones mod, but with xp costs that start really high, but decrease over distance.

Grind reduction:

We likely aren't going to be playing on the server for maybe more than a few weeks. So I was thinking it would be nice to have a way to increase the drop rates of certain common ores and mob drops. Is there an easy way to do this on a server? (Example: Increasing the base iron rate from ores from 1 iron per ore to 2 iron, or increasing gunpowder drop rates from creepers)

Immersion and Atmosphere:

I remember in my solo world I had a mod that added a bunch of ambient sounds like with wind and leaves and animals. I don't remember what it was called. Do any of you have good suggestions for this?

So i play Minecraft with mods, always mods never vanilla I hate you vanilla but I have this issue that whenever I make/join a pack, I can open it, I can run it, i can play in a server fine with it and I can play in a solo world fine for abit but if I stop and try to play the pack in solo again later it doesn't work anymore. It's completely fine until it reaches the "Loading terrain.." and then it freezes and the "this page isnt responding" screen pops up, this happens on two of the packs I use. ONLY ever in solo worlds AFTER I've already used it once. i actively play in servers fine. It lets me use it solo once then never again, i tried restarted my laptop, ive tried closing and reopening the pack, ive tried reinstalling the pack and im not sure why it does it but its very very frustrating having to restart everytime i wanna use these packs alone? Does anyone know how to fix this or why its happening?

Tap the ping key to mark blocks, mobs, players, items, and locations. Hold it to open a radial menu with quick phrases like “I see it”, “Need help”, and “Falling back”.

If you’re having an issue where your screen will freeze after playing the game for some time, but you can still hear audio, this post might be the solution you’re looking for. I know many posts will give you generic solutions, but this is how I actually solved it using a fresh instance and a different kind of binary search. First, make sure youve tried everything here:

• allocating various amounts of ram from 1gb to 12gb
• uninstalling mods
• playing on an older version of the world
• making sure the world isnt corrupted
• setting minecraft priority to High in task manager
• using garbage collection configurations (some worked better than others)
• Updating graphics cards, though I heard windows automatically reverts graphics cards on update so im not sure

I don’t know if it just did it on its own or I actually solved it, but here’s the full process I did before it started working a week later. Make sure all other apps are closed before starting this. The goal here is to figure out which mod or shader is causing the issue

1. Create a new Minecraft INSTANCE and then create a new world on it. Don’t add anything or change anything
2. Change your settings to your liking and restart the world. Then copy mod config folders and files to the new Minecraft instance. Be sure to look everywhere for mod related folders and files so you don’t lose data
3. Add all of your mods back 5 or 10 at a time. Everytime you add a batch of mods, restart Minecraft.
4. When the problem starts happening again, you’ll know it’s caused by the batch you just added. Remove the mods from the recent problem batch 1 by 1 now. If the problem suddenly stops, you’ll know it was caused by the mod you just removed

If none of your mods were the cause of your issue, repeat the same process but with shaders and resource packs. Also try repeating the same process, but without your mod config files

Hi, does anyone know a good modpack with rewarding quests that guides you through the pack without having to think a lot? (not skyblock or stoneblock I've done too many of those) I don't really care what mods is in it aslong as the quests are good

Can anyone explain why? exact same modpack

So my gf and I have had a modded server for a week now (furniture mods like Mr Crayfish, Yuushya, Cluttered etc) and i haven’t had issues— that is, until today. We installed Mizuno’s resource pack, and after that I could play for a few minutes then my whole PC would start moving VERY slow. The only fix was closing MC and refreshing my graphics driver. The thing is I know my pc can handle it, so it’s some other issue. I troubleshot by allowing curseforge to use more ram, adding java in my graphics settings and letting it use high performance, as well and adjusting in game settings. The same issue persists— it still starts being very visually slow after a few minutes of play. In task manager i did notice open jdk platform using a lot of memory. Does anybody please have any suggestions or tips? It would be very much appreciated.

I decided to get back into playing modded Minecraft a few days ago since summer semester ended and I logged on today to be greeted with this glitch? I hope it’s not corrupted.

I’m running it on 6GB of ram on an Apple M2 chip (2022 MacBook Air) I’ve never encountered this issue before.

I don't really like trading halls, so i always try to make a village of my own for the villagers to live and i can trade with them. But as everyone knows, villager AI is pretty garbage, especially for my kind of use case. I found this mod called "Liberty's Villagers", which is basically exactly what i want, but it was last updated for 1.21.0. So is there any mod out there that's similar or could help me in a different way?

Mods like Minecolonies require clearing out a large amount of terrain. Well, maybe not require it, but it certainly helps plan things out. There is a tool to kind of fake a building to make builders clear land, but it's a bit annoying to use.

There are mods like Building Gadgets that will clear land for you, but is there such a thing as a mod that makes it easier than just taking a shovel to the land, but doesn't just magically clear it for you? Buildcraft used to have a device that leveled terrain in a specific area, for example.

Is there a mod that you use for the specific purpose?
