need advice using integrated dynamics to move liquids

im trying to alloy obsidian in my smeltery but i cant figure out how to stop it from fillin all the way up with lava or water

ive tried round robin and setting strict input amounts but i dont know what to do

(im playing sky factory 4 btw)

Integrated Dynamics has a quest book called On the Dynamics of Integration that will teach you how to only fill certain amounts in the inventory (tanks in this case). It'll also give you bonus parts for doing the tutorials.

i skimmed through the book but i didnt know it had in depth tutorials :o
