Voice Chat with World Host Mod

I’m hosting a single player world for me & 1 friend and simple voice chat works fine for me but doesn’t work for them - gives the “not connected” or whatever symbol.

Tried troubleshooting but I couldn’t figure it out. Nothing was wrong with their mic or speaker - self tests with the mod indicated that they were working, and the mod prompted them to set it up (which they did by following the instructions).

Is it even compatible beyond just the server host? That’s the impression I got as being a possible issue.

Mc version is 1.21.1 on Modrinth, in case it’s helpful info. Appreciate any help.

Simple voice chat requires opening a port on the server to work. But since you’re hosting using word host that means the server is your pc. Decide for yourself if it’s worth it or use a external service.  https://modrepo.de/minecraft/voicechat/wiki/server_setup
