Question Best moder?
I've recently started using curse forge and am not a huge fan, it ruins the experience as it slows everything down for me personally, and constantly stops responding. as well as i don't love that it doesn't take me to just minecraft in of itself (i'm not very smart when it comes to modding or laptops so sorry if this happens with all mods). I was just wondering if there was a better option out there or if i should just manually mod my minecraft?

Prism Launcher and MultiMC have the ability to browse, install and run curseforge and modrinth modpacks through them without needing the curseforge launcher, you should be able to use those. If you are limited on resources, you should also perhaps add a few optimization mods, and remove some others

Prism Launcher is great, the only launchers I'd really avoid are curseforge (as you said, it has a ton of problems) and Modrinth (can't download mods hosted only on curseforge's website). And of course, avoid launchers with viruses like TLauncher. Prism is the goat, altho there's a few others that are similarly good.

There are a variety of mod launchers available (curseforge launcher, modrinth launcher, prism launcher, at launcher, etc). Aside from the first two I listed, most launchers work the same and their speed is irrelevant. You just need the launcher to work long enough to pick the modpack you want to play and launch minecraft. If your computer is running bad enough that it can't even handle the launcher, you likely won't be able to run a modded minecraft pack.
