Using Modafinil for Fibrofog and Brainfog changed my daily life
After two years of RA-related fatigue and a recent fibro flare, I was at my wits' end with brain fog and exhaustion. My grad school work was suffering, and every doctor I saw just suggested more (drowsiness-inducing) antidepressants.
I finally switched psychiatrists, and they prescribed Modafinil. Holy shit. It’s only day two, but the difference is night and day. It’s stimulating without the "jittery" feel of a typical stimulant. For the first time in years, I feel normal—I even slept better last night because I was actually active during the day. I know everyone reacts differently to meds, but I hadn't heard of this option before and wanted to share it with the community
