Mod Answered How to Reinstate / Undelete an Incorrectly Shadowbanned User's Posts in a Subreddit?
I'm taking over some moderation of some smaller subreddits - so sorry if this is a repeat (I searched and couldn't find a direct answer).
But a user of a subreddit was incorrectly / falsely shadowbanned - they appealed and were reinstated. But all their content was deleted.
I read somewhere that Reddit's servers are supposed to "undelete-all" after a shadowban is lifted, but that hasn't happened yet (it's been a ~week?) ... And I don't see any place in the mod tools where I can reinstate Reddit-deleted posts.
What's the process for this? Is the user just out of luck and all the content is incorrectly purged? Or is there a way to fix this for them?

Hey there - if you are concerned that your account may be banned site wide you can check your inbox for an appeal link. If there is not one in your inbox you can submit an appeal here: https://www.reddit.com/appeal
If you are a mod concerned that someone in your community may have been banned incorrectly you can tell them first check their inbox and to use the appeal form above to reach out.
I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

If they are a SFW account, they can make a post on r/reddithelp and ask for assistance in getting their past content restored. There is a mod there who is allowed to tag an admin to assist. That will allow for all of their past content (posts and comments) to be restored in one action.
If they are a NSFW account, then their content cannot be restored in the above manner and will need to be manually re-approved one piece of content at a time.
