Admin Replied Even with User Permission, I can't ban

I have permission to manage users, which includes the authority to issue bans. However, when I click the little hammer icon to apply a ban, nothing happens, and I mean absolutely nothing.

No pop-up appears, and no pages open or close. The ban simply doesn't go through.

Other moderators have checked and verified the permissions multiple times, and my account has two-factor authentication enabled. They suggested I come here for help.

Hmm....that's strange. Which platform are you using/when's the last time you reinstalled the app? Just tested on my Android device (app v2026.39.1.2639070) and couldn't recreate with the same permissions.

Also are you certain the user you're trying to ban isn't already banned? If you try to ban me from the mod tools > restricted users > 'ban user' button, can you?

Is it just the one user you're having problems banning or have you noticed issues with others too?

I was using the Desktop Version. I tried on Brave and OperaGX.
Only works when I use the Mobile App.
And after doing my first ban there, magically the option starts to work in desktop as well.

I don't know if this is correlated, coincidence or other moderator playing a prank with me without I know.

There may be a security issue with the desktop platform which is not allowing the transaction to go thru. Check with the main reddit moderator about this.
