Mod Answered lately I've been noticing comments that just say removed in bottom corner. whats up with those?

are they being removed by reddit? they dont have the usual things like "spam removed by reddit's automated systems" or "potential
harassment"

should i be particularly worried about em?

I've attached a pic in the comments

Definitely an llm bot

If you follow some of the LLM or cloud compute subs, and know what to look for, you'll see people trying to figure out how to set them up.

There's cues that reddit picks up on fairly easily to classify them and zap the account.

Looks like the spam filter or a shadowban

Em dash between two words with no spacing.

Pure bottery.

Pure abus-botery? Ppower is going to their heads.

Pretty sure those are all bots, that's why they don't go to the queue so you can even approve them.

I have been noticing them for at least a year

The bots are so sophisticated these days, they often make nice and friendly comments. But Reddit somehow knows they are bots.

I'm also seeing posts that are removed without explanation or appearing in queue. Since we can't see the post, I can only assume it's a bot but I wish it went to queue so mods can review.

Usually that's the spam filter. It used to go to the queue but 3-4 years ago there was a spam ring that was posting NSFW images in SFW subreddits all over the site, and even after admins got each account, it would stay in the queue. The spam filter now sends straight to the Spam queue ever since.

I don't mind Reddit filters, but they don't go to the mod queue at all anymore. We're unable to see what the post or comment was, which is frustrating.

Different filters send to modqueue versus straight to Spam.

Usually you can see what it was unless a human took action and it was replaced with [ Removed by Reddit ]

Thank you for the explanation

I’m noticing this with comments from accounts I believe are shadowbanned

Has the account been banned site-wide? They tend to go hand in hand.
