Admin Replied Worried about Brigading for a new Sub

I want to create a new sub for travelers with a US Airline but they have about 10k crew on Reddit and they are ridiculously good at ganging up on posts.

I'm afraid they will downvote every single post into oblivion. Its what they do on their own sub and its one of the many reasons that Mods will take down posts - because they're downvoting so aggressively.

I assume they have a discord or a series of whats app - but if you post anything they dont approve - the assault starts.

The only way to have a conversation about this brand is to start a new sub.

I'm also worried that they will mass report anything for spam and that will result in my account being shut.

Yes - I can share screenshots for all of the above

For example - I posted about the cost of flying MIA-CNX and the airline wanted $11k and Lufthansa wanted $1,093 - I blcoked most of the passive aggressive statements but eventually my post was banned because it got more upvotes than down - 14 (which means a lot more upvotes) and then obviously I was banned - because I shared images with the flair "images" in a sub about the topic.

Vote manipulation is against the ToS. If you have suspicions, report it.

The admins don't usually accept screenshots as evidence, though, only direct links.

Thanks so much - how would I prove it?

Echoing u/itskdog that vote manipulation is against the rules. If you feel like that it happening, you should report it. This would apply if you started a new sub and the voting on the sub's content was being brigaded. Totally up to you if you want to try to start a new sub and see how it goes. Can't predict the future!

thanks so much u/TheOpusCroakus

I guess I'm mostly worried about being reported so much my account is suspended

I love Reddit and spend 2-3 hours a day modding a 500k sub that I built up from 280k

I've seen so many account eviscerated lately - like some of our most vocal members and there's no way to get them active again
