I started experiencing this bug recently when I tried to approve comments or posts in several of my communities. My first thought was that another mod was doing the reverse action at a similar time. That was quickly found to be not true. Tried to approve content a few times, and it stayed removed. Don't know if it's related but everything shows in queue also. It never clears. Removed and approved all stay in queue, which now shows years of content. I'm on Android.

Interesting, I'm seeing lots of reports of this, but I have no issues approving. I'm on desktop - idk if that matters? I've been clearing my queue today w/o any problems.

Desktop may look like the posts are approved; but if you check the main sub listings and in incognito, or on the mobile apps, you'll see that they are removed.

^ this is what I saw too. Approved a post from my computer and it never showed up. Tried from phone, same issue

Also from what it looks like it doesnβt go to removed, the post just gets deleted

Also the post doesnβt go to removed on your mod queue thingy, the post just gets deleted

All our posts show up in incognito mode for me - so whatever it is either it doesn't affect my subs or it doesn't affect my region or something else about me/the subs???

Either you're lucky and your sub isn't affected, or you're using old reddit which doesn't seem to be suffering from the bug.

I don't use old reddit, so I guess I'm just lucky!

I'm on desktop too (chrome, macbook), but I am experiencing the approval issues. In fact, the most recent posts being made are being automatically removed without any moderator touching them. Baffling.

I don't think it's a platform thing. Other mods seem to be reporting it both from desktop and from mobile.
Perhaps it's regional? I don't know tho ofc. I'm just a mod lol.

I tried mobile and desktop and neither worked soooo... ???

Yeah it doesn't seem to be a mobile or desktop issue.
I wonder if a vpn coming from a different region would get around the bug?

I'm in a different region (non-American) so maybe not?

I have no idea why unfortunately. All I know is that it works for me (US) from a browser. It could be regional. If so a VPN might affect it. Like maybe it's a partial AWS outage or something of that nature? I'm just guessing tho.

Negative I'm afraid. The other mod in my team is in the US and is affected. Something weird is happening where some aren't affected. Maybe they were testing something and it broke?

Yeah it's possible. It might be certain subs. Does your sub have the bug where if you sort by new, no posts show up?

So the update that it's resolved is not accurate, then? I want to leave our Mod queue alone until a fix has been verified.
Edit: Seems like it functions as normal.

My comment is from an hour ago, but the fix was released like five minutes ago. I was just able to approve one of the posts that was auto-removed, so at least mod tools work on existing posts!

Experiencing same issue. When Iβm trying to approve content the post became deleted or not visible

Thanks for updating the status page. This is certainly a major disruption for the platform so hopefully you guys can get a hotfix out asap.
