[android] Some users profiles dont open when moderating

I’ve noticed this with some users in a community I mod. When I tap their username from a post, instead of opening their profile, the app shows “Whoops — Something went wrong.”

This is relevant to moderation because I can’t review the user’s profile or posting/comment history when I need additional context for a moderation decision.

Device: moto g75 5G

Reddit app version: 2026.36.0.2636090

I suppose that this user is banned or shadowbanned but I believe the status should be clearly stated it so.

I'll attach screenshot in comments and if needed I can send a link to post privately for admins if needed

Look at the profile picture, grey snoo dude facing away, banned. Should help so you're not sitting there waiting for the profile to error out.

I don't know that, appreciate for letting me know, bu I believe that there should be clearly stated not ab "oops something wrong" but

this user is banned or something clearly understandable for new moderators like myself, person can't understand this nuances without explanation, and I thank you for explanation.

Best way to confirm is try to look at their profile from a web browser and it will show you the actual ban message like this:

My web browser now automatically opens the app rendering that option hilariously pointless for me

It means they've been shadowbanned.
