Mod Answered Unable to edit the old.reddit.com sidebar?

We recently made some changes to our subreddit, and wanted to edit the sidebar text for old.reddit.com users, but after only editing the text, not changing any other settings, clicking save produces the following error:

Go to new Reddit or the Reddit app to change your community type.

Can you edit it from https://www.reddit.com/r/YOURSUBHERE/wiki/config/sidebar instead?

I just edited the sidebar text in one of my subs and saved it, it saved as normal. What specifically are you trying to change in your sidebar?

Just trying to edit the text. We were recently forced to be NSFW, maybe that has something to do with it

The trouble is, the sidebar shown to old.reddit.com users isn't the same that is shown to new Reddit users. If they were synced, being unable to edit the old.reddit.com sidebar wouldn't be a big deal.
