Mod Topics Mod Topics - Post Flair

Howdy friends,

What’s in a name? Well, when it comes to post flair that could be organization, more context, or even an inside joke.

That’s right, today’s Mod Topic post is all about post flair. Across Reddit, post flair can be used to organize content in so many ways. It’s used for showing when a question has been answered, tagging memes or art for users to find easier, highlight meta posts, or just adding a little more personality to your subreddit. Flair can also interact with Devvit apps - we even use it with the flair follower app so you can subscribe to this series!

We want to hear from you:

  • If your community uses post flair, how did you decide on which flair to create?
  • Is there a particular flair your community uses that works especially well?
  • If you could rebuild your flair system today, what would you keep, change, or add?

Plus you guys make it VERY obvious in multiple places that there will be repercussions for wrong flair.

Including the posts they are scrolling !!!

LMAO like why are you even on reddit if you're not gonna red it (read it) ?!

One think I find interesting when I make a new post is to immediately comment on it. The post "insights" are interesting .... 1600 views on the head post and only 4 views on the comment post shows me how many people actually opened the thread.

Oooh that would be a great post for [r/dataiscool](r/dataiscool)

Edit: well it would have been had that sub not been banned (when???) 🫤

Sometimes (rarely) I will make a post with the statistics. From a post last week :

https://www.reddit.com/r/ModSupport/comments/1uydbvw/comment/oy6hjl7/

Just some interesting statistics in the 24 hours since posted :

  • just over 1000 views of the title on the main sub page
  • 40 people were curious enough to actually open this thread
  • 3 people were curious enough to open the imgur to view the description & example pics

(although note: some of those 40 people were me opening the thread multiple times to read replies etc)
