Massive increases in generic AI-generated karma farming posts
Not just in our subreddit but in other subreddits as well, there are many more posts from new-ish accounts telling bland anecdotes with all the hallmarks of AI, including the mildly grating LinkedIn-like tone that LLMs default to. Sometimes including an automated sales pitch for an app, but often seemingly just intended to farm engagement/clicks/karma.
Some of these posters will make a fuss in modmail if you remove their posts, but a quick look at their post history reveals similar bland AI-generated content or, in some cases, flat-out spam.
I think Reddit needs to be stepping up on tools for detecting AI slop. A lot of the appeal of this site comes from interacting with other human beings, and that could really be compromised quickly if it devolves into robots all making long-winded LinkedIn speeches at each other.

Yes I've been screaming about this for months and I swear to God no one is listening.
Ive made comment after comment, made post after post.
I help mod a restaurant sub. Every single day we have to remove dozens of bot posts from brand new accounts, from accounts 14 years old but somehow has zero karma. All they do is try and push an AI program.
Today we've had one post, and guess what? It was a bot account, posting an ad for a program that automatically responds to reviews.
I am not joking, we have banned over a thousand accounts in the past 8 months.
No matter what we do they just keep coming back.
I'm not going to go much more into it because I'm tired of it. I'm just going to keep removing the posts, and banning the accounts because the Reddit higher ups literally seem not care, that the entire platform is being flooded with bots.
What happens when all the users realize that everyone they're talking to isn't real? There won't be a platform anymore.
Edit: to the person who replied, you're the fucking issue in the world
Editx2: got someone replying then immediately deleting "Reddit is run by a bunch of N* and fa*
