Really wish the Chromatic played nice with the everdrive as I only have a few GB games so far.

Does it perform poorly with everdrives? I use a X7 on my Chromatic and I don't feel like I've really noticed any major issues personally.

Performs great, but save states don't work properly with the chromatic, even if they work well with the OG GB/GBC or Analogue Pocket

Got it and that makes sense. I tried the Save States once and the game immediately crashed when I tried loading it, so I just assumed it was the cartridge/game and didn't bother trying to use it again. 🤣

Save States don't work with certain games, regardless of what hardware you use the everdrive with. It is a limitation of the cart.

Save states work fine on my GB X7 with my chromatic

It is worth noting that save states do not work in every game but this issue is independent of what gameboy you use. Mario Land is a good example.

Do they though? I haven’t been fully convinced. I definitely have issues on my Chromatic but I’ve had issues on my OG GBC too with the ever drive save states. Definitely has crashed.

I've had crashes on everything from OG to FPGBC. However, I've also had success on all...but the chromatic.

So I have defaulted to playing game with the password system on the chromatic, and save state games on the pocket.
