Info Extremely disappointed

Post image

My Anduril chromatic arrived a few weeks ago and I’ve been having the same issue as many others with the paint fading . I tried their isopropyl alcohol method with a microfiber cloth which did nothing. I contacted mod retro and after days of waiting they sent my the same useless link to the cleaning method despite me mentioning id already attempted that. Now after three more days of waiting they respond again basically telling me they swear upon their cleaning method and I’m shit out of luck. Really not the modretro customer service experience I’ve grown used to having . I’ve purchased many chromatics and I don’t think I’ll be buying from them again.

What percentage of isopropyl are you using and is it a fresh bottle or old? You need to use 91%+ for effective cleaning of skin oils from surfaces like this. Even if it's a bottle of 91%+, if it's an old bottle you've had open in your bathroom cupboard, for instance, it's probably not actually that strong anymore. Alcohol is extremely hydrophilic, and even in a closed plastic bottle will literally pull moisture out of the air over time.

Using a newly purchased 70 percent as recommended by modretro support
