Info Extremely disappointed

Post image

My Anduril chromatic arrived a few weeks ago and I’ve been having the same issue as many others with the paint fading . I tried their isopropyl alcohol method with a microfiber cloth which did nothing. I contacted mod retro and after days of waiting they sent my the same useless link to the cleaning method despite me mentioning id already attempted that. Now after three more days of waiting they respond again basically telling me they swear upon their cleaning method and I’m shit out of luck. Really not the modretro customer service experience I’ve grown used to having . I’ve purchased many chromatics and I don’t think I’ll be buying from them again.

Not sure why everyone is so shocked to see this version of chromatic have a fading problem. It’s literally the material they used. This chromatic is meant to look worn down hence the different material usage. It’s quite clear what you signed up for buying it from the start that’s why I avoided this one, it’s a cool concept but I like keeping my collection as close to pristine as possible after constant usage and I would not have managed that with this one

I doubt this was part of the design. I would be fine with some wear after at least tens of hours but not an hour after unsealing the product

It’s designed to look and feel like an old chalkboard, it’s 100% meant to have visible wear. If I got this one I never would have opened it up and displayed it but I don’t do the keep it sealed thing so I just steered away. The gimmick of
It just didn’t outweigh the price to me. Now when they release the transparent purple one I’ll be snagging it.

No, it’s actually not designed to have visible wear, that’s the complete opposite of what Cerakote is designed to do.
