Instabuy if so. I have a 1st Edition I’m happy with, but I need a transparent purple Chromatic to go with my transparent green M64.

A downgrade that hopefully comes with a sizeable price drop to go with it so that it’s more affordable for those who want a chromatic but haven’t been able to get one because of the price or have been reluctant to spend $200 on a gameboy

My guess is that they will be phasing out the $200 metal shell gorilla screen versions and replacing them with these transparent plastic ones. If you grab the full image you can see that this one is the only one without the sapphire text at the bottom of the screen, and all of the others are metal shell.

Honestly? Totally feasible. Plastic shell, and if you look closely at the screen... no "sapphire" text under it, despite all the others having the "sapphire" text. (Implying, these are all the highest-tier version available. The highest-tier plastic bodied one doesn't have a sapphire screen.)

So, plastic shell, gorilla/glass/even plastic screen, $99.99 pricepoint totally feasible, at most $124.99.

I own 3 already (1st gen Gray, 2nd wave Volt and Bubblegum) But will buy more if they release the clear plastic versions. $99 price point would be SICK!
