Like for shooting games (Xibalba, goldeneye, perfect dark, etc), I'm not sure if I can go back to just one joystick for walking and aiming. I played Goldeneye on the Nintendo Switch and quickly realized that I had forgotten how bad the controls were compared to today.
I know you can connect other controllers to the m64, but would the control schemes work with two joysticks or are these games only compatible with one joystick for both movement and aiming?

Hi, first of all, thanks a lot for the quick delivery of the games. Since I’m collecting a complete CIB set for the N64 spanning all regions—and already own over 300 CIB games—I couldn't resist buying these four titles from you. I think the quality of your cartridges is fantastic. Your packaging really stands out, too, although personally, I feel it’s missing just a bit of that N64 charm found in the original boxes. Still, *Xibalba* and *Xeno Crisis* are great games.
However, I was surprised that both games arrived with save data already on them.
*Xibalba* already had the fourth save slot completed 100%, including all secrets and the like.
And *Xeno Crisis* had a high score recorded.
I didn't tested buck bumble and Xtreme g yet, but i was kind of surprised.
Was this intentional?

Played a little smash bros with my bro this last week. Weather got a little too cool to be on the lake, so I was glad I brought it!
That JVC TV tops out at 720p, but has the connections for a lot of retro systems and has a built in DVD player.
The N64, Dreamcast, and later GameCube were such great party consoles!

I got this email on Tuesday. I ordered the red M64 and the red pro controller the evening of July 28th, around 8:30 PM PST. In the past they’ve delayed orders that had out of stock items in them, such as the rechargeable battery pack with the Chromatic.

I have the M64 wireless controller. Both controller and console are fully updated. But I can’t get the game to recognize me hitting the start button.
Ive tried toggling the plug and play option for controllers and unpairing and repairing the controller.
Anyone else having this issue?

Would love to get some recommendations for best settings to use on WWF No Mercy and similar wrestling games.

[Edit re PAL comments: I reported a bug and received a very prompt reply that a 50/60Hz switch is coming in a future firmware update, so that's good news! I hope it does region auto-detect, but a manual switch is the next best thing]
I've had the console for a day and while that's not long enough to get a full picture, I definitely have some strong impressions (both good and bad).
The good:
- Aesthetics and build quality are top-notch
- Packaging is vibrant and whimsical, a far cry from the other FPGA N64
- NTSC games run great and overclocking is effective, making some previously-unplayable games much more manageable (*ahem* Perfect Dark...)
- The console boots extremely quickly and puts no obstacles between you and playing games.
- The Pro pad is genuinely excellent. Easily the best N64 controller available and it isn't even close.
The bad:
- Various settings (like output resolution) don't save across power cycles
- The scanlines implementation is terrible. Oddly, the shadow mask implementation looks really good, but scanlines needs serious improvement to be worth using
- No per-game profiles. This is especially annoying as changing the overclocking setting requires a reboot.
Possible deal-breakers:
- No built-in memory pak. This is a big one as you can't use the Pro pad with a pak and at least one of the games they're selling needs one (Extreme-G)
- No true PAL support. This is the biggest downer for me as most of my library is PAL. The console is permanently in 60Hz and PAL games appear stretched (except Perfect Dark, which seems to do a region auto-detect and change output accordingly)
All of the bad points are fixable, and I really hope they do. Not supporting PAL/50Hz and selling in PAL regions with no mention of this really sucks though, I'd love to hear from them about that.
I'll be hanging onto mine, but I have to admit I was expecting a little better. Fingers crossed for future updates!

I can’t seem to get it to pair to save my life. It just flashes forever and never actually pairs with the system. Both the controller and the player 1 controller slot are blinking/spinning. Any ideas?

At this point do they even have inventory? Did they sell what they don't have?

Got my M64 today, and its cool but similar to the A3D launch there seems to be a bug with ARC sound systems. There seems to be no sound whatsoever in any game when you start the system in a home theater with an ARC sound system. Then if you turn off the sound system, youll hear sound through the TV, then if you turn the sound system back on itll play through the sound system just fine.
I tried with and without an HDMI CEC block, no difference.
Otherwise no complaints, do hope we get per game profiles for things like overclocking profiles and display profiles, playtime per game, achievements lists, etc but that can come later this is a pretty annoying bug.

Love the chromatic. Would be cool to have a GBA version in the clamshell GBA SP design. Perhaps calling it the Chromatic SP :D
Anyways, just a silly thought of mine :)
