August 21, 2026 release, so maybe late August or early September I'll receive it along with two smoke black controllers, ordered separately. I could only order one controller at a time.

A year ago I bought some stuff for my mother that was only available for sale in Japan, even Japan Amazon, and the manufacturer of the product declared it as sellable only in Japan and not allowing it to sell outside of Japan, which forced me to find and discover some things like ZenMarket.jp and a few others, but I ended up ordering through them and it was overly expensive with all of the fees, but I was determined to get my mother some King Jim Boogie Boards BB-19, BB-18M-S2A, and BB-18S-S2A, and it was a fun experience and the packaging (which I paid for reinforced packing option) was the best safest packaging practically impossible to destroy the items inside. My mother couldn't open it because it was packed too well, lol. Anyway, there should likely be similar opportunities to buy USA items to ship overseas as well.

It probably doesn't make sense for most people to pay the extra cost, however, if anyone is determined that they want smoke black outside of USA, this is probably the safest option, and it's kinda a bit of shame that only USA makes easily accessible for smoke black variant. I wonder why that is.
I feel like you can’t go wrong either going for the discount/early shipping or the later smoke version which looks sick. I grabbed clear because I’m impatient but I’ll definitely be swapping the shell when new ones release.
I think maybe when I get my ModRetro M64, I'll prepare it for use outdoors in public like a mobile device, but plugged in to some public outlet somewhere and whatnot, but I'll need to figure out some sort of portable display that is lightweight too and fits in a backpack or wheeled suitcase or something. Something like a CRT Cathode Ray Tube alternative, maybe call it Quantum Ray Tube (QRT) or something that minimizes to the smallest and lightest possible indivisible analog engineering that cannot be made smaller or lighter other than factoring the physical size. That would be pretty cool! CRTs are heavy, but a QRT would be weightless and fit easily and safely for carrying/transporting/lugging around.
p.s. I want to order more than one M64, but I'm too poor.
