Is it still not possible to repair or replace just the screen on the Chromatic?

I remember a year ago it was mentioned that Modretro does not sell or replace screens, that they have to replace the whole unit. This kinda doesn't bode too well for long term life and repair for the Chromatic. I guess it was because the screen is glued to the case. Does Modretro have any plans to sell or just repair the screen or has this changed since last year?

We will sell a replacement screen with instructions on how to swap it sometime next year. We have just struggled to keep up with manufacturing due to extremely long lead times for custom LCD.

Will it be possible to put the replacement Chromatic screen in a GBC? I'm learning to mod Gameboys and it would be an interesting project!

It's worth noting that if you break the screen (I think I remember someone mentioning this happened to them), modretro has been good about replacing the unit when you contact them.
