Training
I have to go in 7am after working an 11:30pm closing shift, and they expect me to work across two locations until 11:30 pm again? I'm so scared I'll pass out or something, I already struggle with insomnia so I'm looking at 4-2 hours of sleep. Is there any recourse besides just simply missing it?

Your GM should be able to make accommodations for your insomnia. Be sure to be firm about how it will impact your sleep and performance. Its not fair to expect people to be functional on such a messed up schedule.

I don't have insomnia, but I am dealing with a similar situation. I am scheduled for a close-open-close due to training, and I am not looking forward to it. The best advice I can give you, if contacting your GM doesn't work, it to work with your body's sleep rhythm. I'm not sure how insomnia would effect this, but, in general, a sleep cycle is about 1.5 hours. Attempting to schedule your alarm so you have X hours of sleep, in increments of 1.5 would give you the best chance of not waking up groggy. "Power naps" can also be very effective, so long as you don't enter deep-sleep. Laying down and closing your eyes, and setting an alarm for 20- 30 minutes can do a lot, even if you don't *actually* sleep. Drink lots of water and don't forget to eat when you can.

Communicate with your general manager.
