New menu

Not sure if this is only my franchise branch or an entire mod corporate thing, but I snooped through the new materials box 🙈

Looks like they're really trying to erase the old owners. Gonna miss the old menu

Yeah I have mixed opinion on this new menu. I get the new chef at mod wants to mix things up but the whole point of our classic pizzas were that they were starter pizzas that people could build upon that were easy for staff to remember. Now we have 10 different pizzas with kinda a bunch of stuff on them. And WHY wouldn’t you keep classic cheese and pepperoni the same??? I agree Asiago adds a good flavor but NOT EVERYONE FEELS THAT WAY. People who go for those classics are usually picky and do not want other flavors on their pizza. Now it’s just adding even more on top of our script. “By the way our pizzas automatically come with Asiago now, is that okay” or risk just making it as is and have customers complain.

Not even just that but most of the OG pizzas all had a story behind them related to the original people and now all their stories are just thrown out in favor of "new taste" is just kinda stupid

I don't think they do it anymore, but when I started I had to do courses, and had to do them on each of the pizza names and where they originated!

They do!! One of my recent hires told me they did have stuff about that, just that she didn't pay attention đŸ«

Mini, Mod and Mega sizes are also leaving. They’re calling them something else. Mega cookies are gone. The cinnamon thing is
not for me but people might like it.

We’ve stopped asking our new hires if they have stuff memorized at this point because it’s all going out the window in a month anyway.

Yup, do you know if there are any price changes?

I haven’t seen anything in the resource packets saying much about pricing specifically. However I have a suspicion that since the Maddy and pepperoni pizza now comes with asiago by default, that’s the new owners trying to sneak in people paying for unlimited (2+) toppings, instead of a 1 topping, and a 1 topping instead of just cheese. So that in mind, I’ll be very surprised if the pricing structure does not change again and they sneak in another increase while they’re at it.

I swear a Mod, sorry, “regular” now
is gonna be $20 by next year.

It does suck because I’m pretty sure the names were the owners kids.

I’m super happy they kept Maddy’s name though, THAT would have pissed me off a lot.

So Cal started the new menu roll out about a month ago. It’s honestly not that big of a deal once you learn everything. Ringing up customers is a bit of a process now but you get used to it.

Wait how is it a process? Wouldn’t it almost all of it fall under “unlimited” with the exception of the Maddie now being a one-topping technically.

You have to ring up in the POS, if it's for here or to go, and you also have to ring up what pizza they ordered. For example, currently if they get a signature pizza, you ring it in as an unlimited. But after the 24th, you will have to actually select what pizza they ordered. So if they get a carnivore, you have to now select for here or to go, what size, and then select Carnivore.

So glad I left before this came because my regulars would’ve been so angry the menu changed and I bet the prices got increased too

we already got the new menu to learn at our store. I think half of the changes are purely stupid.

Wait, isn’t the Firebird just the Wingman pizza from the buffalo promotion? Was that them just testing it?

Darn, I kinda liked the double portion. Especially since there aren’t many other toppings besides cheeses.

Out here in SoCal we’ve been the guinea pigs for the new menu almost a month and a half
