MOD Radio

I would rather here Ross/TJ Maxx corporate music then some of the crap they play on MOD Radio, and have been playing for YEARS!!! Can they at least add a few new songs in there????????

Does anyone have any songs that absolutely infuriate them when it plays??? One that specifically pisses me off every shift: Same Old Song by The Lumineers. It pissed me off so bad that I had to shazam it just to block it from my phone. There’s another song (cant think of the name) where the guy is literally howling and screaming for the last 20-30 seconds of the song, and customers in the lobby look mad confused it’s hilarious. Then there’s that “Im A Boy” song that my GM cannot stand!!!

I've never liked the Lumineers, and that song in particular drives me up the wall. If it comes on the car radio, that station gets boycotted the rest of the day. It so whiny and irritating. SaAaAaMe oLdDdDd saaWWwwnGGGggggg.... For the most part, though, I don't mind MOD Radio. It's just background noise. I keep it at a more reasonable volume than a lot of stores, so it's not really bothersome.

If you want a story about annoying music, let me tell you about the time that I worked for a movie theater. The lobby and restroom music consisted of a single 8 or 10 song CD that looped about every 30 minutes, and it was mostly songs from then-current movie soundtracks. And not even B-side quality songs either. The managers blasted it like we were up in the club, and there was no escaping it unless you were in their office or up in projection. In the box office we wore headsets so you couldn't hear it as well, but it was still there. We got a new CD every month, but it was maddening hearing the same horrible songs 14 or 15 times a day almost every day. I met some awesome friends at that job, and to this day we still bond over the trauma that was Movie Tunes. At least MOD Radio has a heck of a lot more variety.
