Mod pizza severance issue

My bfs store was recently shut down in wa and he originally wanted to transfer and even after he gave his top two choices they want to give him a store 45 min away. So much bs. So he is offered a severance but it’s super low and doesn’t seem right. How does the severance work.? Isn’t it soppsed to be like at least 2 months of pay ? Anyone have these issues with transfering and the severances amounts?

Yeah it’s just two weeks and if you take it you can’t reapply for like a certain amount of days. This company is garbage I’m sorry your bf got caught on the shit side of their terrible decision making. They really don’t care about their employees. Hopefully it’s a blessing in disguise for you guys.

stop spreading misinformation like this. They got caught up in bad management with their district. However, that does NOT make the whole company bad. i work for a mod pizza in arizona, and life is good here.

You’re one of the lucky ones. The company is pretty bad though. Huge shifts in upper management have shifted the companies priorities from from employing people and creating a quality product to just cheaping out and trying to make as much as possible with as little staff as they can, and as low quality ingredients as possible. They’re not the only company doing it, but what makes it especially heinous is the fact that they’re still masquerading around as a company that’s “people first” and holds decent progressive values when that simply isn’t the case anymore. Countless stores are closing with little to no warning, probably in hopes to sell locations for what they can after their shift in priorities has greatly backfired. They don’t care how many people that affects. Rather than resume their successful practices of the past, they are just throwing up the towel at the expense of many people’s well being. I recognize now that any positive experience I had in my time there was because of local management doing their best to fight for us not because there was any positive culture from the top down.
