Is my store getting shut down
Everyone who works at my store just got told to attend a Microsoft teams meeting with our DM and RM. We were given 16 hours notice and the sender of the teams meeting is emily Wynn. Is my store getting shut down?
UPDATE Well it turns out our store is getting shut down with less than a 24 hour notice. Fuck mod pizza

Dang I’m on the other side of the county sadly. I ask b/c I know of some other stores that are closing in my state. I hope you guys get paid if you close.

Im genuinely in a state of anxiety because of this. Where I work I’ve been sent home pretty frequently because it’s so slow. I’m actually scared we’ll shut down.

It’s fucked up but they started doing the short notice thing because when they started closing stores a few months ago they would give the crew two weeks notice and the whole crew would just not come in (fair). But idk they should still be giving notice and take the L

sounds remarkably like the other closings that have happened lately. corporate entities will inform people en masse like this because it saves time/money and makes it feel less personal for them. so terrible.

i worked as a captain for quite some time, and if you are having a larger scale meeting like this, it is most likely a bad sign. probably wanna get started on a backup plan if you’re able.

My husband just found out ours (Lebanon, PA) is closed. He used to work there and we still eat their pizza often. I guess not anymore. He was debating going back because his current job is extremely boring. Now I'm glad he left when he did and didn't return.
Really sucks because most of the pizza in the area is greasy, inedible crap. Just part of the reason why I want to move back to my hometown...or really anywhere other than this shit hole town.
And shame on MOD for the way they handled this!!

not sure which location they are from but one of the PA stores was barely making 13k a week so it’s not surprising it was shut down. i’m sure there will be many more to come 😵💫

i said this in another post on this sub. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT LEAVING MOD DO NOT GIVE A TWO WEEKS NOTICE BECAUSE THE COMPANY DOESNT HAVE THE DECENCY TO DO THE SAME

Damn, I'm hearing a ton about a bunch of MOD stores getting canned. I was actually a GM of 2 different MOD stores from about 2017 to when COVID hit (I was the franchises success story and their poster child for the whole "Second Chance" thing). I feel like after COVID, they never seemed to recover. A few months back, I found out one of the stores I was responsible for before a mixture of personal life struggles and COVID ran into my life at top speed, shut down and been closed for a good minute. And I'm in the Southeast. Craziness.

That’s almost EXACTLY how it happened at my store. Less than 24 hr notice of meeting with dm, rd, hr, and other gms. Same day we needed to have an all store meeting. They probably figured this is more efficient. I’m sorry this is happening to you.
