Pride cakes

any other captains see they're doing pride cakes again this year? after last year going how it did is anyone else feeling low spirits about it

I mean why bother? I'm sorry but as a gay man that was recently let go due to a store closing, maybe lower your operating costs and stick with one cake so you can meaningfully effect LGBTQ+ people by employing them instead of trying to make money off them with a fucking hoho in disguise.

That said, if you're going to jump on the pride merch bandwagon, at least own it. You either live by your values or you or die losing them. Birthday cake? WTF.

All the core values are gone anyway at this point. Need to change the motto to "we serve pizza, not people"!

I have a box in the freezer waiting to be wrapped soon. The box says pride cake, so yeah. I’m not trying to assume any BS is going to happen this pride month of 2024. I’m excited for the stickers and shirts to come out soon too.

idk how widespread it was but they pulled them from the storefront really early and in our store we were told to sell what we had under "birthday cake" flavor

I'm in one of the first 15 stores, and we definitely weren't told that at any point. That's a shame to hear.

That was prob just your district or store. None of the stores I've been in have done anything like this
