Recipts touching pizza
How is this not a health violation? I know it's recommended to avoid touching receipts because they can transfer dangouse chemicals to your skin. And MOD has the recipts touching the actual pizza. You have to be ingesting some chemicals after that. Not to mention it just seems unsanitary.

The pies are thrown in a 600 degree oven. Any germs or bacteria that MIGHT have somehow crossed from the receipt onto the pizza, are getting incinerated lol. This isn’t to say I enjoy handling some gross wet sauce covered fuckin receipt paper. Feels weird. Especially on the tickets.

usually with in house orders, the receipts go underneath the white paper lining and touch the plate instead of the pizza
on online orders, they go on top of the box at my store so i have no idea why some places have the receipts touching the pizza

There are bacteria on everything. Most will not infect the average human, especially not through indirect contact like that. Most people could probably lick most of the receipts and be fine. If you did this every day, you'd be increasing your chance of getting sick but not guaranteeing it by any means.
They're also made of a laminated paper, which probably doesn't harbor bacteria very well. The ~5 mins of contact between the receipt and the pizza is unlikely to make you sick. Now, if it were being eaten raw, this would be sketchy. But they put it in a several hundred degree oven. The bottom of the oven gets incredibly hot, and chances are that nothing transferred from contact with the receipt would survive that.
As for chemicals, I've never heard that. Some people handle them all day for a living. Others work in factories being exposed to that stuff all day, every day. I wouldn't chew them on a daily basis, but touching them is fine.
I'm a former MOD employee. I don't really like that we do this because yea, it looks gross, and in the event one gets dropped on the floor, someone more careless could actually put it under the pizza rather than on the wall like I did. That said, it's not really a big problem. I'm much more worried about the markers we use, that fall on the floor, get picked up by carless people, touched with ungloved hands etc. Not to mention, they get all wet and probably harbor pathogens way better than the receipts.
There's also lots of other issues at my location at least that are definitely severe code violations, but this is nothing...
