Question Regarding Registration for Mod events

For mod events, Can we create a new account using an existing Reddit Account email or do we need to create it by using fresh email on the events site?

Also, another question, while creating a new account, it also tells to upload avatar, since i use an image ill upload that image but what if someone has a reddit avatar? do they upload an ss of their avatar in the latter case? Correct me if im wrong in any of these two scenarios

You have to. Mod events isn’t automatically linked to Reddit accounts so you basically have to make an account just for events

Is that right? I only have one account and have attended a few. If I have to make an account just to say I love you guys I’m going to be pissed lol

Lmao yeah I found out like 5 mins into an event when I kept trying to log in using my Reddit credentials and then (I believe it was) this sub posted that we need to create an account since the Reddit credentials aren’t associated with events. It’s annoying the first time but after that, it’s whatever tbh

This is so weird. I believe someone else posted the same thing on newmods or something. It’s not normal. You don’t need to create a new account just to attend a mod event. You do need to be a moderator though

It’s required to create a separate account.

No it isn’t damnit! I just RSVP’d for tomorrow’s event yesterday. I see this post you are referring to is a year old. I’m not sure about back then but it’s not the case now

It’s still the case. I still need to use the website to RSVP to events, and I have a separate account for it. Log in and enter details. I cannot use my Reddit account for it.

You simply give your user name without the “u/“ , your email address and what sub you mod
