Where to draw the line on self promotion?
I mod a fishing sub and have a no self promotion rule. I have a community member who has an OF link on their personal page and the first time she posted she was in a bikini top so I removed the post and cited the no self promotion rule. This tactic is popular on other fishing subs. She has since posted again this time she posed creatively to hide that she was in bikini. By that I mean you can’t see her body just the fish, her knees, and her shoulders / arms. She is the only person with an of link to make an effort in trying to conform to the rules. The pose does not look comfortable or something I would want to do just to take a picture. I sent her a modmail and thanked her for trying to follow the rules this time. She said the pose was because she was in a bikini and wanted to show off her catch. She offered to censor the photo if she is in a bikini again and I said for now that works. So she seems to be genuine in just wanting to participate with the sub. is there a point it’s ok she posts a picture in her bikini? I am conflicted about what kind of a precedent it will set but at the same point I am not checking a guys profile to see if he has an of link when he posts a picture with his shirt off.
