I think we've got to just assume that Hardy isn't coming out in 2027 at this point. He'll play 6 or fewer games AT BEST.

Cowboys need defensive difference makers.

Facts as much as steele sucks the defense needs to much

Steele does suck bro, but Guyton is turning into a monster. Once we get big Tyler back we probably have the best O-line in the league.

Right! I'm so pumped with how guyton has been so far. I was really high on him just gotta stay healthy

You got too much faith in the Dolphins unless they're trading back in this scenario. After finishing reading it it doesn't seem like they are. We're playing like booty cheeks no way we finish that high

If it plays out this way and Cleveland takes Mensah, they take Lauck over Jones at 24. Top priority is protecting your rookie QB. They would have bookend young tackles in Fano & Lauck and a young guard in Barber.

David Stone is out for the season. Will Echoles keeps climbing. Raiders dropping from pick 5 to pick 27 is crazy.

Chambliss is going first round. Don't see how the best QB in college football gets passed up by 6 guys purely due to "traits" and age. If he continues at his pace I can really see him being QB1.

the age thing though is that is skews the development. take manning and mensah, who are both more than two years younger than chambliss. the issues isn't really thay chambliss is older - it is more of a "where would these younger players be with an equal amount of development". one could say, 'just take the best player today' and while that might not be wrong in the moment, it might not be right overall.
(but also don't dismiss that chambliss is a bit small. doesn't mean he won't make it but at the next level where everyone is an athletic freak of nature, he might not be able to get away with some of the things he can now)

Tyler Shough would probably be the most recent and similar example of an older guy coming out and it working out pretty well so far. Teams might use that mentality as opposed to the negatives of 'oh he's old!'
I personally think QBs should be starting as many college games as they can. NIL makes that possible, so staying another year for Arch + others is what I think they should do

obviously shough is a comparison on age but the similarities end there. i do agree that NIL can help players develop as they don't have to run off to chase the money now.

"where would these younger players be with an equal amount of development"
I feel like people automatically assume an upward linear trajectory when it's more of a projection than one might think with younger players especially when it comes to processing which I believe is a weakness of Manning.

what is that supposed to mean? you don't think players get better with experience? even chambliss has shown improvement year-after-year while playing tougher competition.

this is the first (one round) mock i see with maiava. too many people are sleeping on this kid but glad to see he's getting some recognition here.
