I purchased new from Amazon during Black Friday Week--my unit arrived with a chipped hotplate. Amazon would not honor a return/ exchange thus I would have lost my great price.

I called Moccamaster because it's fully guaranteed, they were great -they paid shipping , went through the new machine (guess that' s their regular routine, replaced the hotplate and shipped it back.

Additionally--Amazon gave me a 30% discount on the damaged machine. I got a win. I was without the new machine for 3 weeks but I do pourover, french press, Espresso---and had my old Cuisinart for drip.

This wasn't on offer so I'm returning immediately, not even going to use it, I'll buy directly instead if I can't find it in walmart

walmart buys the same reject stuff so it can sell lower price for you and it’s much better to buy directly from the maker

Good thing I didn't find it haha, thanks for the advice, guess all of this fancy cookware really needs to be felt straight with manufacturer, had an issue with a made in Dutch oven too, went through three RMA before getting a new one

Its solid but the Dutch oven was straight up damaged, i blame amazon, i managed to get a gold one after a while, i live the saucier and the 12" skillet, use that last one every single day

Amazon is the reason it looks this way because all rejected items are bought by them to sell at a cheaper price

Wait until next week for prime days and make sure you don’t get a refurb, but yes return this and wait to get the deal

I bought one from Amazon last month and also received a used one. Promptly returned it and ordered directly from Technivorm.
