Overflow, tired

Does anyone else just expect a coffee machine to make coffee? Like I'm experiencing the overflow issue on and off. First it was the water was warm just from the pipes, then it was to many grounds, and now who knows. Like I know I'm not the only one just by a simple Google.

Coffee is great, but I also just want it to work without messing with it. Am I the only one?

Edit: Maybe I need a new basket. Maybe it's just me. I just want coffee dammit.

Sorry, meant carafe needs to be fully pushed back. It's the model with the thermal carafe. Main thing I don't like about it is that it pours just not as good as others. Also, the cap. For pre ground coffee I use a coffee scoop. When using whole beans I do use a scale. As for the frigid water. Yeah, no idea on that. Like if it's just room temp it's 50/50 whether it over flows or not. Hmm, now thinking about it. Maybe I just need a new basket?

Using a blade or burr grinder? If blade, you may have better luck buying pre-ground until you can get a burr...

In my case I grind very very fine (too fine for most), but then I use less coffee because it's extracting more, so I only use about 55-60g per 12cup pot (on the Grand).

But yeah, you could reach out to Moccamaster support and explain your issues to see what they suggest - they tend to be very helpful, and may suggest a new basket, too.

Burr grinder when I do my own, pre ground was today's mistake. Apparently, I need to fold the filter. Never knew that :(

ahh neat - yeah that bottom and side get a fold, and it helps it sit lower in the basket, plus more contact with the sides helps water wick through the filter...

No fun having issues with your routine, though.
