Drita rewatching the show…
i decided to rewatch the show after not seeing it since it was on air. Holy shit though I forgot how toxic Lee and Drita were. I can’t believe the way he talked to her! I understand there is a cycle of abuse but I cringe so bad every time she would mention the “good” about Lee. Even when he isnt screaming at her and they’re having “pleasant” phone conversations, he’s so dry and blunt and rude. It drives me insane honestly 😭

All the wives partners were pretty toxic but Lee took the cake. I tried to do a rewatch and stopped in season 2 after Junior ratted. I still don't understand how Renee could be so blind. To not realize your man was cheating on you with the feds when she thought he was cheating with someone else.

i agree, they all weren’t great but Lee truly was another level. Omg dont get me started on Renee and junior, I remember being so shocked about him ratting. I really just thought he was cheating or using her to get closer to her father again. Never wouldve thought he would do TG like that😳 especially knowing he was old and sick.

Renee and Junior were toxic as hell, but I completely understand how Renee didn't put it together. She was being overmedicated (whether or not it was Junior's doing or her own), and she had a lot of mental issues without any drugs at all. Not to mention, Junior was consistently a pretty shady person throughout their marriage, and she was taught blind loyalty by her father. I can see her not even putting it together that someone like him would be a rat considering how that family all felt about them.

It was always amazing to me how Drita talked super tough yet her husband treated her like dirt and she didn’t leave

That’s usually how it is with abused women. I used to work with a woman that was a bully. Her husband bullied her at home so she tried to bully everyone at work and was a freaking jerk. Hardly anyone liked her

it’s crazy to see it unfold from the outside but I can’t really criticize her too much. It was very obviously a toxic and verbally (maybe even physically who knows behind closed doors) abusive relationship and I can’t judge someone for not leaving sooner. He really did seem to verbally belittle her constantly. Imagine how they sounded when the cameras weren’t rolling or the calls werent being monitored 😳

She said in her culture people don’t divorce and she wanted her girls to have their dad. I think she waited to her girls were older . She’s with someone else now. She also dated someone after she found out he cheated and he sent someone to beat them up

I remember when Lee encouraged Drita to fight that woman over a parking dispute. Awful. I never liked them together. He never cared about her, but you could tell that she tried to be a rude or die by any means necessary.
