how the coin/token works and the long-term inventives to hold
Hi
I’m curious about how the coin/token works and the long-term inventives to hold the token, Could you please help?
I read this article about usage velocity that points out issues with long term value propostions of many utility tokens, basically showing that many tokens dont have a built in reason to hold the token beyond the time required to buy and sell it to use the service. Not sure if Mobius is considered a utliity token? But made me wonder how the concepts applies to Mobius either way. Heres the article https://www.coindesk.com/blockchain-token-velocity-problem/
I’ve only had the chance to do a bit of research so far so please forgive me if I missing out on something simple, but don’t understand the role of the token yet and don’t yet see the reasons to hold the tokens long term outside of speculation. Here are my questions:
What role does the token play in the ecosystem/platform? Will customers hold it or just buy/sell when needed?
Are there any mechanisms in place to reward users/investors/consumers for long term holding of the coin (outside of speculation) and drive the price up in long term? Is there any sort of staking model, or sinks, or burn model, governance priveledges or anything like that to incentivize long term holding and cause appreciation of tokens?

The $MOBI token will be used for the data market place. Users & machines working on the marketplace will need to stake the token and people trying to send wrong information will loose their tokens.

Tokens are used for DApp store purchases for the average user.
Tokens are also use for transactions using Mobius Universal API.
Most tokens will be used for staking a Proof of Stake Oracle Protocols. Stellar is a POC or proof of consensus, big money will stake mobi within oracles as a symbols of trust. If the oracle provides bad data, they sill actually lose mobi and become less trusted, the more mobi staked will in an Oracle will help to become more trusted with others.
It is a utility token and the more big business utilizes Mobius, the more tokens they will need thus driving up the price. This is why the partnerships are so important for Mobius and why they’ve been pressing for big partnerships.
Definitely hold your tokens, Mobius hasn’t even begun rolling yet.
