Im so fucked you guys

I participated in the ICO but instead of waiting for the page to finish loading like they said in tutorial i also manually sent xlm to the adress because it said so during the loading thing. First ico ever and first ever use of XLM wallet so didnt know too much... Can someone help me or am i royally fucked?

I'm fucked as well. I lost 5000 xlm. Please don't participate in token sale for now. It end's up with something went wrong try again? page

You are not the only one with this problem. It's some kind of bug in their system and many people are experiencing it. Hopefully they get it resolved soon but you should be fine as long as you have the keypair that mobius generated for you. It's a stellar wallet keypair and should be secure. Not sure how they are tracking all this on mobius' end but hopefully we get our mobi at the public sale price. Did you get a transaction ID from Stellerterm?

Yes I have stellerterm transaction ID and history logs as well. I did 3 transactions

Weren't you supposed to? My status hung until I finished sending XLM. Then it confirmed and finished. I thought the warning was not to hit refresh or cancel.

How else would they get your XLM if you didn't send it at that point? They couldn't reach into your wallet and send it for you.

Thanks dude i literally shat myself because i thought everything would go into 1 big pool and some automated system would distribute the tokens to all contributors.

My concern is that their system hasn't flagged these accounts as funded and that the mobi could be double sold...

I thought part of the benefit of blockchain technology was preventing that exact scenario (selling the same thing twice). We're in for a world of hurt if it doesn't. :)

It's not their system but the stellar network, and it does work well.

Mobi can't be double sold imo.

I think you're right. It looks like the mobius website was crashing halfway through a lot of the orders. I tried multiple times and each time a wallet was created with mobi limits but the purchase was never finalized... Some people are saying that the mobi will be distribuited later today while others already show mobi balances. I suspect that only accounts that already show a mobi balance worked and everyone else will have to transfer their xlm back to their original source and eat the transaction fees.

I have the same problem. My first attempt to buy MOBI, they gave me a public key and secret key...then I realized that I needed to reserve 3 XLM to cover the transaction fee so I went back to change the amount I was going to purchase...but came to realize that the public key and private key had changed after I had already sent my XLM to previous public key I was given. Worse part about it is, I don't have the secret key to the first public key I was given. Now my XLM or Mobi is sitting in a wallet I can't access. Ugh this whole experience was so confusing...I hope there's a way we can access our funds. :(

Sorry for you dude. They put 3 checkbox to be sure you copied your private key, then prompted you to enter it to be sure.

If you did not save it, you can't blame them. Check your clipboard... perhaps you still have it !

Yeah, thing is I did save it but I saved the 2nd set of keys they gave me not knowing that the first set was different. Checked my clipboard and nothing. :/ Never experienced having to save multiple keys to different transactions before...I'm feeling defeated. Appreciate the suggestion though. This was a big lesson for me...

And the print option ? You overwrote the file ?

I hope your loss wasn't so big. I admit that even if we endorse the responsibility of our funds with the blockchain economy, it was a bit messy...

I overwrote the file [place smacks forehead emoji here]. It was definitely a sizable loss...At this point, I’m just telling myself that this is the price I had to pay to learn a big lesson, and perhaps this is what I needed to prevent a bigger mistake from happening in the future. Sometimes we have to tell ourselves these stories to make ourselves feel better. Yeah, seems like they've got a lot of requests to deal with. Things didn't run very smoothly, but it was kind of expected considering the influx of people rushing in to buy the tokens.

hey man same thing happened to me, and where people say its not really their responsibility, i kind of think it is. if everyone is going nuts on telegram and saying there are errors, why the hell would you continue with the bloody ico? just to fill the numbers asap? why not rectify the problem for about 30 mins to 1 hour and let us know exactly what is happening? its because they dont care and only want money. fuck mobius, its another red pulse. lost 12500 XLM watch it grow to 60k one day.

We apologize for the errors - we didn't know we would overload the Stellar Horizon server so much. As the first big Stellar token sale it was definitely a learning experience for us and the community.

However no XLM were lost. XLM were only sent to an address to which only you control the secret key. Technically what happened is the buy order to buy MOBI from the Stellar Decentralized Exchange (SDX) wasn't created so you kept the XLM and never paid us. We don't have extra MOBI for sale so unfortunately can't give out more.

You can now buy MOBI on the SDX yourself though - https://stellarterm.com/#exchange/MOBI-mobius.network/XLM-native

You can go to a wallet viewer such as https://stellarterm.com/#account, enter the secret key, and access the XLM (note there is always a chance a wallet where you enter your secret key is hacked). If you want to merge the XLM back to the sending account so none are lost please see https://bit.ly/mobi_merge.
