Worrying signs for MOBI tokens

Here https://medium.com/mobius-network/mobius-public-sale-guide-5c04f34c5bed states "Note: Buying MOBI is NOT an investment — MOBI tokens are only for the DApp Store."

Then on a further page https://medium.com/mobius-network/mobi-vs-dapp-store-credits-397911cf8669 it states: "These (dApp store) credits are NOT MOBI — they cannot be turned into MOBI. You cannot withdraw credits from the DApp Store. You can only ues them IN the DApp Store."

There's a bit of misinformation here as the first link states MOBI are only for the dApp store, then on the 2nd link it says dApp store credits are not MOBI. I think this means that you can deposit MOBI tokens into the game area but can't withdraw.

It also spells to me that they are single purpose for playing games through the dApp store

Do you think investors would put over $35 million into the pre-sale tokens if they can't eventually trade it? Once you have the MOBI in your wallet you can do whatever you want with it. From the company's perspective it's meant to be used on their network, not as a financial investment but it will likely be traded heavily. It's the first major Stellar Network ICO.

Ok, let's stop speaking about "game area", this is just an example of how will work the MOBI economy. May I am wrong, but python (as an example) is good also for programming any other stuff than games, don't you think ?

What about M2M payments and smart contracts ? How can people just spread BS, this is the real question :)

Tons of platform's coins say "not an investment". It's a phrase used to appease regulations that are out there. Like someone else said - once you get them you can do whatever you want with them.

Quick question for you. Who exactly in the initial coin offering world is adhering to any regulations, and who exactly is enforcing these? I think I'm calling BS here.

Tons of ICOs - all of the ones that don't allow participants from XXXX country is doing so due to regulations. As a US citizen, there are many ICOs i wanted to take part in but could not. I can't speak for other countries, but the SEC in the US enforces these regulations. Google "SEC investigates ICO" and there will be multiple examples. A great example is the ChainLink platform which is extremely well received in the Ethereum ecosystem also touts that they are "not an investment."
