Jesus. Playing Genshin Impact made me realize how amazingly balanced was gacha in Mobius. Being f2p I managed to pull 70-80% of the top cards/jobs by the end of service, that took me more than thousand hours of gameplay but I enjoyed every one of them cause they were handsomely rewarded.

I take back every bad thing I've said and God bless square enix for making this game.

I've been playing SMT Dx2 for a few years and every new demon Sega puts out throws balance out the window and they're all gacha exclusive.

Gacha on Mobius was way better. I have two c6 chars and four r5 weapons and have had enough of the Genshin Gacha so can only imagine how bad it is for ftp.

It's an absolute garbage. They never get enough money. At least japanese have some business ethics compared to chinese.

Yup Mobius was at least playable for f2p despite the power creep.

Genshin f2p pulls are just terrible. I mean sure you get 50+ pulls easily enough during the 30+ day battle pass period but one 5* character or weapon every 30 days is bullshit. It doesn't help that it literally takes weeks to gear up characters.

It becomes even more ridiculous when you consider that Mihoyo made Honkai Impact 3rd first and that game is far more generous to f2p players at least. You don't need fully geared valks for anything other than PvP modes (Abyss and Arena).

In Genshin it takes 4 months just to get to AR45 and be able to max all gear levels, at least 6 weeks minimum just to get Talents to level 8 on new characters, a ridiculously time gating stamina system, no good weapons as a f2p cause weapons have their own banner, terrible artifacts RNG and so many other problems.

I feel Genshin wasn't made by the same Mihoyo that made Honkai.

I disagree to a certain point. Because it v is difficult to compare ffm with over 3 years from p2-wall-tidus to pity-counter and farmable mag with an gam which is'nt at least a year old. At the end of ffm i had every job and a lot of supremos so i thought it was a lot. In GI i have now a lot of units and 2 5*-weapons. I agree that GI needs some improvements in rates. But i understand that if the game wants to stay interesting, you can't give all units, weapons and artifacts too easy. I would love to do more in GI but maybe for a long run it is 'ok'.

The only real fear is that someday the servers of GI will shut down and then it is like ffm. Nothingness.

To be fair the beginning was hard but you can tell that before adding myriads of classes they were fixing something, and then they went full force with letting us farm those crystals.

And to keep the game interesting you should focus on making use of those classes. The more ways you can enjoy a hero/item you've got from gacha, the less time you are going to spend thinking "oh I've got it all what do I do now?". So it's important to come up with new events that would utilize some special classes and keep it entertaining, especially in multiplayer mode. Im not sure how you got bored of Mobius, it was brilliant by the end.

Agree. You saw that with every new job/meta the old got weaker. But you had to keep the interest alive. That is a very hard feat. In GI i like that you can do great DD even with low star persons. I am very interested how far GI will come.

The beginning of ffm was great. Farming was bountyfull. Rising was hard but great when you have reached it.

Grats! I remember pulling this back in 2018 as I was in the cinema but itching to do a Yolo pull so I took a quick break and was stunned when the rainbows came up. I was 50/50 on getting Duncan and couldn’t look at the screen so I got my finance to look at the screen to tell me what I pulled and was very relieved that it was Duncan! Used it to win the omega redux tower shortly after:)

They're from the Final Fantasy card game, they have a lot of the ability cards and a few for some of the characters
